In the city there are many buildings and wide streets.
Una ciudad es una gran comunidad donde muchas personas viven y trabajan.
En la ciudad hay muchos edificios y calles anchas.
A town is smaller than a city, but bigger than a village.
Cities and towns have similar buildings, but there are less buildings in a town.
A village is a small community. There are not many houses and the streets are narrow. Villages are normally quiet.
People who live in a city are called citizens.
Ciudades y towns tienen edificios similares, pero hay menos edificios en una aldea.
Un pueblo es una pequeña comunidad. No hay muchas casas y las calles son estrechas. Pueblos son normalmente tranquilas.
Personas que viven en una ciudad se llaman a ciudadanos.
My Community
In a neighbourhood there are houses, shops, supermarkets, hospitals, schools and other buildings.
Una ciudad, pueblo o aldea se divide en barrios.
Personas que viven en un barrio se llaman a vecinos.
En un barrio hay casas, tiendas, supermercados, hospitales, escuelas y otros edificios.
Public buildings offer services. Schools, hospitals, town halls, police stations, fire stations and bus
stations are all public buildings. Blocks of flats and businesses are private buildings. They have an owner. Restaurants, shops, supermarkets and banks are all businesses.
Edificios públicos ofrecen servicios. Escuelas, hospitales, ayuntamientos, en las comisarías de policía, bomberos y estaciones de autobuses son todos los

The town hall is a public building. There is a town hall in every town and city and most villages. The mayor and the councillors work at the town hall. People living in the community vote and elect the mayor and the councillors.

Traffic signs have different shapes and colours. A triangle means warning. A rectangle means information. A blue circle means obligation. A red and white circle means prohibition.
