Past
Actions or events that occured yesterday, last month or a long time ago, are things that occurred in the past.
Las acciones o los eventos que ocurrieron ayer, el mes pasado o hace tiempo, son cosas que ocurrieron en el pasado.
Present
The present is the period of time that is happening now. At present, you are doing something.
El presente es el período de tiempo que está ocurriendo ahora. En el momento, está haciendo algo.
Future
Actions or events that will happen tomorrow, next week or next year, will happen in the future.
Acciones o eventos que va a ocurrir mañana, la semana que viene o el año que viene, va a pasar en el futuro.
Time Passes
People who lived a long time ago cooked, washed their clothes, worked, played and had fun just as we do. But everyday life and daily
routines have changed with the centuries.
Personas que vivieron hace mucho tiempo cocinan, lavan sus ropas, trabajaban, jugaron y había divertido al igual que lo hacemos. Pero la vida cotidiana y las rutinas diarias han cambiado con los siglos.

Important Inventions
The Printing Press
Johannes Gutenberg invented the printing press in 1440. Before the printing press was invented, not many people knew how to write. Books were very expensive. The printing press made books cheaper.
Johannes Gutenberg inventó la imprenta en 1440. Antes de que la imprenta fue inventada, muchas personas no sabían leer ni escribir. Los libros eran muy caros. La imprenta hizo libros más baratos.
Penicillin
In 1928 the Scottish scientist, Alexander Fleming discovered penicillin. Before the discovery of penicillin, people got sick and died easily. Today we use penicillin to cure infections.
En 1928 el científico escocés, Alexander Fleming descubrió penicilina. Antes del descubrimiento de la penicilina, personas enfermaron y murieron fácilmente. Hoy en día utilizamos penicilina para curar infecciones.
The Telephone
In 1875 Alexander Graham Bell invented the telephone. Before it was invented, people had to write letters or telegrams. With the telephone we can communicate instantly with people all around the world.
